Una, September 16:- Family members of Una-based engineer Sukhwinder Rattan, who has been missing since the floods in Nepal a few days ago, met Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at the Circuit House in Una today and requested government assistance in tracing him. The family members informed the Chief Minister that they were extremely concerned as no information about Sukhwinder Rattan had been received since the floods struck Nepal.
Assuring the family of all possible assistance, the Chief Minister said that the state government would take up with the Central Government the matter of expediting efforts to trace Sukhwinder Rattan and find him at the earliest. He assured that every possible effort would be made to obtain information about him as soon as possible and that the state government would provide all necessary assistance to the family during this difficult time.
Sukhwinder Rattan was working as a site engineer at the 216 MW Upper Trishuli Hydropower Project in Nepal. He has been missing since the severe floods that hit the area on August 26.
