Una, June 25: In accordance with the standards and guidelines prescribed by the Election Commission of India, Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Nandita Gupta, accompanied by District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner (Una) Jatin Lal, conducted a joint quarterly inspection of the district EVM and VVPAT warehouse today.
During the inspection, various aspects were thoroughly examined, including warehouse security arrangements, the CCTV system, record maintenance, sealing procedures, and the safe storage of EVM and VVPAT machines. The inspection was carried out in compliance with the protocols and standards set by the Election Commission of India.
Additional Superintendent of Police Surendra Sharma, Tehsildar (Elections) Suman Kapoor, Executive Engineer (PWD, Una) Kuldeep Singh, Executive Engineer (PWD - Electrical Wing, Una) Sanjeev Kumar, Fire Officer (Una) Suresh Kumar, and representatives of various recognized political parties were also present on the occasion. The warehouse inspection was conducted transparently and in accordance with the Election Commission's guidelines in the presence of all these officials and representatives.
