Nawanshahr:- Under the directions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar and Honorable District and Sessions Judge, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Mrs. Priya Sood ji, a legal awareness seminar was organized by the office of District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar under the leadership of CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Dr. Amandeep ji at Sri Nabh Kanwal Raja Sahib, Birdh Ashram Fatoana Sahib, Village Bharomjara on the Care and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007.
On this occasion, the para-legal volunteers of the office Mr. Des Raj Bali and Mr. Vasdev Pardesi made the elderly and the general public legally aware about the Care and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007. Apart from this, their problems were listened to and their rights under the Senior Citizen Act were made known.
Apart from this, the elders were assured of getting Aadhaar card, old age pension and solving other problems. On this occasion, Shri Nabh Kanwal Raja Sahib, Birdh Ashram Fatoana Sahib, village Bharomjara's Sewadar Baba Balwant Singh, elders and other Sewadars were present.
