Lehragaga, April 11:- As part of the efforts being made by the Punjab Government to set high standards in the field of education and further encourage students, Cabinet Minister Mr. Barinder Kumar Goyal today specially honoured Japneet Kaur, a brilliant student of Government Middle School, Arakwas, at Lehragaga.
It is worth mentioning that Japneet Kaur has brought glory to her school, parents and the area by securing 598 marks out of 600 in the Class 8 results announced by the Punjab School Education Board and securing second place in the entire state.
On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister congratulated Japneet Kaur and said that this achievement of hers is not only a symbol of her own hard work, but also the guidance of her parents and teachers. He said that the Punjab government is working on a large scale for the improvement of the infrastructure of government schools, development of smart classrooms, modern laboratories and other modern facilities, due to which the students are getting a quality learning environment.
Mr. Goyal said that special training programs are being run by the government to continuously enhance the qualifications of teachers. Under this, teachers are being trained in leading educational institutions of the country as well as sent abroad for high-level training, so that they can be equipped with new learning and teaching techniques and world-class experience.
He further said that students of government schools are now performing better in every field and are performing better than students of private schools, which is a clear proof of the positive change coming in the education system of Punjab.
Mr. Goyal also expressed happiness that Japneet Kaur is ahead in sports as well as education and has proved her ability by securing third place in the 200 meters race in the School National Games. He said that such talented students become a source of inspiration for others as well.
The Cabinet Minister congratulated the family and encouraged them for more great achievements in the future.
Meanwhile, the Minister also congratulated Japneet Kaur's father Kuldeep Singh and mother Jagdeep Kaur, both government teachers, and said that only with the right guidance and hard work of parents, children reach great heights.
On this occasion, Japneet Kaur attributed her success to her hard work, the inspiration of her parents and the guidance of her teachers. She said that the constant support and right guidance received from her teachers motivated her to achieve this achievement.
Japneet also said that better facilities, smart classrooms and a high-quality learning environment are now available in government schools, which is helping the students to move forward.
On this occasion, Japneet Kaur's sister Manneet Kaur, SDM Rakesh Prakash Garg, Municipal Council President Mrs. Kanta Goyal, Advocate Gaurav Goyal along with various office bearers, dignitaries and a large number of city residents were present.
