Patiala, January 4:- The Internationalist Democratic Platform (IDP) held a state-level meeting here at Gurdwara Sri Dukh Niwaran Sahib. In which senior leaders and prominent thinkers of IDP Hamir Singh, Karnail Singh Jakhepal, Darshan Singh Dhanetha, Gurmeet Singh Thuhi, Faljit Singh Sangrur, Manpreet Kaur Rajpura, Raj Kumar Kansuha, Kulwinder Kaur Ramgarh participated.
Addressing the leaders from different districts of Punjab on this occasion, Hamir Singh, Darshan Singh Dhanetha, Karnail Singh Jakhepal said that the Modi government of the center has made a big attack on the livelihood of the poor people by abolishing the MGNREGA law and making it VBG Ram G. The Modi government, which is already taking away the rights of the states, has dealt a big blow to federalism by increasing the share of the states from 10 percent to 40 percent in the new law and is doing a great disservice to democracy by taking away the rights of the Gram Sabhas.
The leaders further said that the method of passing the law by bringing it to the Parliament has been dictatorial. No priority has been given to listening to the voice of the people nor has the law been printed in different languages ??of the country and given to the people, which is why the government is kicking the livelihood of the poor by creating confusion among the people about this law.
The leaders further said that the MNREGA law gives every laborer of the country the legal right to 100 days of employment. The new law has taken away this right. The leaders demanded that the Modi government should also immediately withdraw BG Ram G and restore MNREGA. The IDP also got the BG Ram G law translated into Punjabi and published a magazine to convey its effects to the people, which was also released today. Which will be distributed to people in different parts of Punjab.
Speaking on this occasion, Tarlochan Singh Sular Gharat, Tara Singh Phagguwal, Ram Lal Sangrur, Krishan Lubana Lakhvir Singh Ladi said that the Right to Education Act has almost been abolished under the new education policy.
Similarly, the Modi government has been protecting the rights of corporate houses by passing the Electricity Bill, Seed Bill, Dam Safety Bill, three black laws related to agriculture, converting 25 labor laws into four labor codes, eliminating the punishment for those who pollute water and limiting it to fines only, and abolishing Article 370. Lakhvir Singh, Karam Singh Wajidpur, Raj Kaur Thuhi, Sunita Kaidupur, Harpal Kaur Tibbi Sunam etc. also spoke on this occasion.
