Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 04 February 2026:- Shri Harmandeep Singh Hans, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar informed the press that the police have achieved a big success in the case number 23 dated 28.01.2026 registered in connection with the Gurvinder Singh murder case outside the District Administrative Complex on 28.01.2026, under sections 103(1), 109, 3(5) BNS and 25 Arms Act, Police Station Sohana.
He said that this case was registered on the statement of Amardeep Kaur wife of Gurvinder Singh. The complainant had stated that on 28.01.2026, she had come to the Court Complex, Mohali for a court appearance in I-20 car number PB-65-AS-2482 with her husband. They had parked their car outside the ACC Society near the District Administrative Complex. After the court appearance, at around 03:00 pm, when they reached near their car, an unknown person opened fire on Gurvinder Singh, due to which Gurvinder Singh died on the spot. The complainant also stated that her husband was receiving threats from gangster Goldie Brar, due to which she strongly suspects that this murder was done by Goldie Brar.
The SSP further said that during the investigation of the case, different police teams were formed to arrest the accused and investigate the escape route used by them. During the investigation, it was revealed that two unidentified accused had come riding a black Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle. One of them surrounded Gurvinder Singh near his car and shot him dead, after which both the accused fled on the motorcycle. During the in-depth investigation of the CCTV cameras, it was found that the accused found a white Honda Amaze car on the way, where one of the accused got off the motorcycle and got into the car and the accused also changed their clothes. During further investigation, both the vehicles were identified.

*Search and arrest of the accused:*
A detailed investigation conducted on the basis of technical, scientific and human intelligence information revealed that this crime was carried out in a planned manner by an organized criminal Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, residing abroad, in collaboration with his associates Vicky Singh alias Vicky Sattewala, son of Ram Singh and Ravi Kumar alias Ravi Faridkotia, son of Bori Lal.
During the investigation, Baltej Singh alias Bunty, son of Pal Singh, resident of village Tehna, district Faridkot, was nominated in this case and arrested on 02.02.2026. The accused revealed that he was the driver of Honda Amaze car number UP-14-CD-6847, on the basis of which the said car was recovered.
Further investigation also revealed that Mangat Singh alias Max son of Diwan Singh, resident of Jalalabad, District Fazilka provided logistical support to the accused and made both the vehicles used in the incident available. He was arrested on 03.02.2026. Based on his disclosure, Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle number PB-22-D-5444 has also been recovered.
