Mohali, 17 March 2026: The 79thDistrict Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting for Mohali was held today at the DC Office, chaired by Ms. Sonam Chaudhary ADC (RD), SAS Nagar, Key dignitaries included Mr. Pankaj Anand (Circle Head, PNB), Mr. M.K. Bhardwaj (Chief LDM, Mohali), Mr. Deepak Singla (LDO, RBI), Ms., AnchalSharma (DDM, NABARD)and Mr. UpkarSingh (State Director, RSETI), along with officials from banks and government departments.
ADC says the Annual Credit Plan for the Decemberquarter was surpassed, achieving 97% against the proportionate target of 75%.The achievement of the district is 84% in agriculture sector,104% in MSME Sector and 68% in Other Priority Sector. The overall achievement of the district is 97%.The district’s Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio is116%, against the National Goal of 60%.
ADC Sonam Chaudhary appreciated the bankers for their performance and encouraged a stronger focus on Government Sponsored Schemes, she also added that banks are the support system of the economy and a mission mode approach is required from banker fraternity in order to achieve the targets and upliftment of under privileged segment of the society.
Sh. M.K.Bhardwaj urged the private sector banks to give special focus on social security schemes launched by Govt. of India like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha BimaYojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti BeemaYojna and Atal Pension Yojna
Mr. Deepak Singla (LDO), Reserve Bank of India, said that all banks should put special efforts to cover all the left-out accounts in Digitalization so that our District achieves 100% Digitalization by June 2026.He added that bank branches should ensure strict adherence to Reserve Bank of India guidelines. He also focused on increasing financial literacy and digital awareness among rural people. CFL initiative was also discussed by RBI.
MsAnchalsharma from Nabard put emphasis on boosting Agriculture advance in the district and utilizing the scope of SHG, JLG, AIF, PMFME etc for the purpose.
Mr. Pankaj Anand(DGM Punjab National Bank) thanked participants and urged continued efforts and advised all the Dco’s to come well prepared for the meeting.
