Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, December 19, 2025:- The District Magistrate, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Smt. Komal Mittal has issued orders under Chapter 11 (under Section 163) of the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023 (46 of 2023) imposing a complete ban on running non-vegetarian shops and dumping of their waste within one thousand meters (within the district limits) of the Air Force Station in the district so that no accident occurs with aircraft, no loss of life or property occurs. These orders will be in force from December 11, 2025 to February 10, 2026.
District Magistrate Mrs. Komal Mittal said that it has come to our attention that many food shops have been opened by the general public around the Air Force Station, they throw the waste of these items in the open, due to which carnivorous birds keep flying in the Air Force area.
With their flying, there is a fear of an accident due to collision with an aircraft at any time, which also poses a threat to national security and also disrupts the services being provided by the Army. As a result, there is a fear of disruption of the law and order situation. In view of this situation, these orders have been implemented to stop these activities.
