Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 24 August:- District Magistrate, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Mrs Komal Mittal has issued orders imposing complete ban on running non-vegetarian shops and dumping its waste around one thousand metre area (within district limit) from Air Force Station of district under Chapter 11 (Sub Section 163) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (46 of 2023) so that no accident happens with aeroplanes, no loss of life and property happens. These orders will remain applicable from past 19.08.2026 to 18.10.2026.
District Magistrate Mrs Komal Mittal said that it has come to notice that around Air Force Station many eating-drinking shops have been opened by general public, waste of these items is thrown in open by them, due to which carnivorous birds keep flying in Air Force area. Due to their flying fear of accident happening due to collision with aeroplane at any time remains which also becomes cause of danger for national security and also creates hindrance in services being given by Army. As a result apprehension of breach of peace and law situation also remains. In view of this situation these orders have been implemented to stop these activities.
