Una, June 30: The Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited online self-nominations for the National Teachers' Award 2026 from eligible teachers across the country. The objective of this prestigious award is to honor outstanding teachers who, through their diligence, innovation, dedication, and sustained efforts, have significantly improved the quality of school education and positively shaped the lives of students.
Somlal Dhiman, Deputy Director of Elementary Education, Una, stated that teachers can submit their online self-nominations through the National Teachers' Award portal. The application process commenced on June 15. Eligible teachers can submit their nominations online until July 10, while the deadline for the final confirmation and submission of self-nominations is July 13. All eligible government teachers in Una district are encouraged to apply within the stipulated timeframe, highlighting their outstanding work, innovations, and significant contributions to the field of education.
Deputy Director Somlal Dhiman urged all eligible teachers to carefully study the guidelines available on the National Teachers' Award portal before submitting their applications to ensure a smooth application process. He clarified that no applications received after the prescribed deadline would be considered.
