Dehlan/Una, December 21: The annual prize distribution ceremony of Sant Baba Sewa Singh Khalsa Model High School, Dehlan, was held yesterday at Kila Anandgarh, Sri Anandpur Sahib, with the blessings of the great saint Baba Satnam Singh Ji and under the guidance of Sardar Sucha Singh Sidhu, Director of Sant Baba Sewa Singh Educational Society.
The chief guest at the ceremony was Dr. Diljit Singh Bhinder, a member of the Internal Committee of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Amritsar Sahib. The ceremony was presided over by Sant Baba Satnam Singh Ji, Sant Baba Jeet Singh Ji, Director Sucha Singh Sidhu, and Comrade Tarsem Singh Bhaldi.
The program began with the chanting of Satnam Waheguru and devotional hymns. The school principal, Vijay Kumar, welcomed the guests and highlighted the school's achievements. In his address, Director Sucha Singh Sidhu said that the purpose of such ceremonies is to provide opportunities for the all-round development of children and to hone their talents.
Chief guest Dr. Diljit Singh Bhinder appreciated the school's academic achievements and encouraged the students to excel in every field. Sant Baba Satnam Singh Ji blessed the children.
On this occasion, students presented a colorful cultural program including plays such as "Bapu Da Khuda," "Loko Ih Na Kehar Guzaro," a play based on drug abuse, "Mere Papa," "Ar Nanak Par Nanak," Gatka, and Bhangra.
The chief guest and other dignitaries presented awards to the students for their academic and other achievements. During the program, Sant Baba Satnam Singh Ji announced a new bus for the school, Sant Baba Jeet Singh Ji announced a donation of one lakh rupees and langar (community meal), and Dr. Diljit Singh Bhinder announced a donation of eleven thousand rupees.
Finally, Principal Vijay Kumar thanked all the guests, parents, and collaborators. A large number of parents and dignitaries were present at the ceremony.
