Haroli/Una, March 9 (Rajveer Chopra): A dignified and inspirational program was organized at Sant Dangu Wale Gujjar Government College, Bitan, on the occasion of International Women's Day. The program's objective was to raise awareness among students about women's empowerment, equality, and self-reliance. The college's principal, faculty, and a large number of students participated in the program.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Sumiksha Gupta, Principal of Government College, Bitan. In her address, she highlighted the changing role of women in society, their rights, and the importance of education. She said that today, women are demonstrating their talent in every field and are making significant contributions to society's development. She encouraged the students to confidently set their goals and achieve them through education and hard work.
Dr. Uma Rani also made the students aware of women's rights, their achievements, and their important role in society. The event proved to be inspiring and informative for the students.
During the cultural presentations, Himani, a second-year BA student, performed a melodious and inspiring song that captivated everyone present. Vanshika, a second-year BSc student, also delivered an impressive speech on women's empowerment. In her address, she highlighted the achievements of women in society and the challenges they face, emphasizing the importance of respecting and elevating women's dignity and equality.
A slogan writing competition was also organized on this occasion, in which the students participated enthusiastically. The results of the competition were as follows:

Dr. Richa Sharma conducted the program effectively and smoothly. She systematically introduced the speakers and participants, maintaining an engaging atmosphere throughout the program. Other faculty members from the college were also present.
