Garshankar 27 December- An alumni meet of students from session 1984 to 2009 was organized at Doaba Public Senior Secondary School, Parowal. In this event, the old students of the school participated with great enthusiasm and desire, remembering the precious time of their student life.
The old students from 15 to 40 years were welcomed at the main gate of the school by playing drums. On the arrival of the old students, an artistic and cultural program was presented by the school students in which Jasmine, a student of class XI, kept everyone riveted by singing Heer. On this occasion, everyone's eyes became moist while remembering the founders of the school institution, Late Principal Sardar Balwant Singh Sandhu and Late Sardarni Balwinder Kaur Sandhu and the old students and guests who came paid tributes in various ways.
After this, the renowned Roohdari Qawwal group of Punjab performed a melodious evening program in the school auditorium with Sufi songs and music. On this occasion, School Director Harpreet Kaur thanked everyone and shared the tireless journey of the school from its foundation stone laid in 1977 to the present time while interacting with the students. Thus, this alumni meet became memorable leaving behind its indelible memories.
