The Deputy Commissioner said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the process of SIR (Special Intensive Revision) has started in Patiala district, the main objective of which is to make the voter list completely correct, transparent and updated.
Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said that to successfully complete this campaign, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are going door to door distributing enumeration forms and verifying voters. He appealed to all the voters that whenever the BLOs come to your house, they should be given full cooperation by providing correct information, as this is the duty of every responsible citizen.
The District Election Officer said that the enumeration forms given by the BLOs should be filled carefully and submitted to them within the stipulated time, as this is a time-bound process. He also appealed that the necessary documents of all the family members should be kept ready in advance so that there is no problem in filling the forms on the spot.
He said that every vote of every voter is valuable and even a small cooperation of every citizen will make a significant contribution in making the voter list of Patiala district 100 percent pure, correct and error-free. He called upon all voters to fulfill their duty as responsible citizens and actively participate in the SIR campaign and contribute to making it a success.
