Hoshiarpur:- As per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, Assistant Commissioner (General) Sumit Mudh held a review meeting with the officers of various departments today with the aim of organizing the district-level Independence Day celebrations in a dignified and smooth manner. During the meeting, taking a detailed review of the preparations for the celebration, he directed the concerned officers to complete the responsibilities assigned to them within the stipulated time.
Assistant Commissioner Sumit Mudh said that the district-level Independence Day celebrations will be celebrated on August 15 at Police Line Ground, Hoshiarpur with full enthusiasm, patriotism and dignity. He said that keeping in mind the importance of the national festival, no negligence should be used in the preparations and all the departments should work in coordination with each other, so that the celebration can be made grand and memorable.
During the meeting, he reviewed in detail the preparations for the parade, cleanliness of the venue, stage and seating arrangements, invitations to guests, development-oriented tableaux of various departments, cultural programs, honoring the families of freedom fighters and martyrs, security arrangements, transportation arrangements, medical facilities, drinking water, electricity and other necessary arrangements.
He directed the concerned officers to complete all the preparations related to the ceremony before the stipulated deadline and each department should also ensure regular monitoring of its assigned work.
Sumit Mudh said that Independence Day is not only a national festival, but also an opportunity to pay homage to the supreme sacrifice of the great freedom fighters of the country. Therefore, every arrangement of the ceremony should be in accordance with the spirit of dignity, discipline and patriotism.
