Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 27, 2026:- Additional District Magistrate Geetika Singh has cancelled the licences of 10 travel, immigration and IELTS-related firms and companies in the district with immediate effect, exercising the powers vested under the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act, 2012. The action was taken because the firms failed to apply for renewal after their licences expired.

Providing details, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the licences had been issued to the concerned firms under the prescribed rules. However, despite the expiry of their licence validity, they did not submit renewal applications to the concerned office. The action was taken in view of this failure.

The firms whose licences have been cancelled include M/s Mayo M.D., F.A. Educations, M/s K. IELTS Classes, M/s Highline IELTS and Immigration Services, Stanberry Edu City Private Limited, Bullseye Migration and Education Services, V.G. Exercising the powers conferred under Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act, 2012, the Additional Deputy Commissioner has cancelled the licences issued to all 10 firms with immediate effect.

Furthermore, as provided under the Act and rules, if any complaint is received in the future against the concerned applicants, firms, proprietors, partners, companies or company directors, they will be personally responsible for addressing and settling the matter in all respects.
