Karnal, July 24: Taking effective action against two-wheeler theft incidents, the Anti-Auto Vehicle Theft Staff team of the Karnal District Police arrested an accused and recovered three stolen motorcycles from his possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Inspector Surendra Kumar (In-charge, Anti-Auto Vehicle Theft Staff) and Assistant Sub-Inspector Devendra Singh arrested the accused, Ranjeet Singh—son of Kuldeep Singh and a resident of Shanti Nagar, Ram Nagar, Karnal.
During the investigation, based on interrogation and available evidence, three stolen motorcycles were recovered from the accused. A case regarding vehicle theft has been registered at the Civil Lines Police Station.
During questioning, the accused revealed that he had committed the thefts by stealing two motorcycles from the Civil Lines area and one from the Ram Nagar police station area.
After completing the necessary legal formalities, the accused was produced before the honorable court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
