Karnal, 03 July:- District Police Karnal is continuously taking strict action against accused who possess illegal weapons and carry out criminal activities at gunpoint. In this series, team of CIA-1 staff Karnal has succeeded in arresting an accused in case of possessing illegal weapon. An illegal country-made pistol .315 bore has been recovered from possession of accused.
Under leadership of CIA-1 staff in-charge Inspector Sandeep Singh, police team formed, based on secret information received by Head Constable Amit Kumar, taking action, apprehended accused Ashish son of Sudhir Kumar, resident of village Nanheda, District Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh from Lalpur T-point, Meerut Road, Karnal.
On search of accused by police team, an illegal country-made pistol .315 bore was recovered from his possession. In preliminary interrogation it came to light that cases have been registered against accused earlier also under Arms Act, from which it is clear that accused has been involved in activities of possessing illegal weapons.
In this regard, case has been registered against accused under relevant sections of Arms Act at Police Station Madhuban, Karnal. Accused was arrested as per rules by police and presented in Hon'ble Court, from where accused was sent to District Jail in judicial custody.
It has been clarified by District Police Karnal that continuous effective and strict legal action will continue against such anti-social elements who possess, sell illegal weapons or carry out criminal activities through them.
