Hoshiarpur: The police of Binewal police post have arrested a young man with 120 grams of narcotics and registered a case under the NDPS Act. Following questioning, his brother has also been named in the case based on the information he provided.
ASI Onkar Singh, in-charge of Binewal police post, said that acting on the directions of SSP Hoshiarpur Sandeep Malik, under the guidance of DSP Garhshankar Daljit Singh Khakh, and under the supervision of SHO Garhshankar Gagandeep Singh Sekhon, he and his police party had set up a checkpoint on the Binewal Singa Road yesterday. ??During this time, a young man started running away upon seeing them, but they apprehended him.
He was identified as Suraj Joshi, son of Satdev Joshi, a resident of Binewal. 120 grams of narcotics were recovered from him, and a case was registered against Suraj Joshi under the NDPS Act. Based on the revelations made by Suraj Joshi during questioning, his brother, Udai Joshi, has also been named in the case. He further stated that Suraj Joshi is currently being interrogated.
