Ratia, 27 December:- A religious ceremony was organized today at Gurudwara Sahib Purana Bazaar in memory of the four Sahibzadas of Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj Ji, Mata Gujar Kaur Ji, and all the martyrs of Chamkaur Sahib and Sirhind. On this occasion, the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji was performed, followed by Kathavachak Bhai Jaswant Singh enlightening the Sangat by connecting them with the history of martyrdom. The Ardas for the welfare of all (Sarbat da Bhala) was performed by Granthi Kishan Singh.
Providing information on the occasion, Gurudwara Manager S. Harvinder Singh stated that on the occasion of Shaheedi Week, the Prakash of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji was done at the Gurudwara Sahib on 25 December, and its Bhog was performed today. A large number of Sangat paid obeisance and listened to the Guru's history.
On this occasion, Kathavachak Bhai Jaswant Singh, while narrating the historical episodes of the Sahibzadas to the Sangat, explained that the Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj Ji remained steadfast in their faith, did not bow before the fear or temptations of the Mughals, and sacrificed their lives for society. He said that we too should maintain brotherhood with everyone, respect all, stay away from slander and gossip, chant the name of the Almighty, and pray for the welfare of all. During this time, the Guru's uninterrupted Langar was served.
Present on the occasion were Iqbal Singh (member of Haryana Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee), Gurudwara Inspector Mohar Singh, Rupesh Singh, Angrez Singh, Manjeet Singh, Jarnail Singh, Manvinder Singh, Raj Singh, Rahul Singh, Navdeep Singh, Shanti Singh, and others.
