Una, March 5: The Una Municipal Corporation organized a one-day hands-on training workshop for officials and employees of all urban local bodies in Una district today (Thursday) to effectively implement the new services added in Phase II of the Citizen Service Portal. Officials and employees from the Una Municipal Corporation, Amb Municipal Council, Daulatpur Municipal Council, Gagret Municipal Council, Mehatpur-Basdehra Municipal Council, Santoshgarh Municipal Council, and Tahliwal Municipal Council participated in the training program.
The workshop was chaired by Manoj Kumar, Joint Commissioner, Una Municipal Corporation.
Addressing the participants, he stated that various municipal services are being made available to citizens online and transparently through the Citizen Service Portal. He stated that this digital initiative will enable the public to access services conveniently from the comfort of their homes, and will also make administrative processes more streamlined and efficient.
On this occasion, Anurag Thakur and Sahil Rana from the SPMU team of the Urban Development Department provided participants with detailed technical information about the new services included in the second phase of the Citizen Service Portal. They also provided practical training on the operation and use of services such as Arrears (Property and Garbage), MRF, Him Seva facility, e-Service Request, and e-Challan.
Manoj Kumar stated that the main objective of the workshop was to train employees on the services launched in Phase II of the Citizen Service Portal and to provide maximum digital facilities to citizens so that the public can access municipal services in a simple, transparent, and accessible manner from the comfort of their homes.
Baljeet Singh, Akashdeep Dhiman, Radha, Manjul Sharma, Lokbhanu, Harjinder Singh, Radha Rani, Sunita, Akash Bhatia, Anita Kumari, and Ruchi from the Una Municipal Corporation were also present.
