Katghora/Chhattisgarh, August 1:- A controversy has arisen over the statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji in the Atal Park located in Katghora in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. This claim is rapidly going viral on social media that the copper statue, made at a cost of about Rs 14 lakh, lost its color after heavy rain and the cement structure inside was exposed.
After this incident, the opposition has alleged financial irregularities and corruption in the construction work and has demanded an independent investigation into the entire matter.
On the other hand, the local administration has started an investigation into the matter and has sought a report from the concerned authorities. However, there is no official confirmation of the claims regarding the cost of Rs 14 lakh and the construction of the statue. This matter has heated up the political atmosphere in the state and has also become a topic of discussion among the people.
