Una, March 9 (Rajveer Chopra): A tragic accident occurred on the very first day of school reopening. Two innocent students were seriously injured after being hit by a Mount Carmel School bus in the Ransari area. The two students are said to be sisters and study in the LKG and UKG classes at Mount Carmel School.
According to information received, the girls were hit by their own school bus while on their way to school on Monday morning. Both sustained serious injuries in the accident. Bystanders immediately rushed them to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Doctors referred one of the girls to PGI Chandigarh, while the other is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
The incident caused panic in the entire area, raising concerns among parents and the school management. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and began investigating the matter.
The administration is investigating the cause of the accident. At the same time, local people have demanded to tighten the security arrangements and monitoring of school buses.
