Jalandhar/Hoshiarpur May 22- District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Hakam Thapar formally took over as Deputy Director, Information & Public Relations Department, Jalandhar after being promoted to the post.
He took over the charge in the presence of Joint Director Manwinder Singh, who congratulated him and expressed confidence that Mr. Thapar would continue his committed efforts to ensure wider reach of people-friendly policies and programmes of Punjab Government.
A 2011 batch officer, Mr. Hakam Thapar has over a decade of experience in the Public Relations Department, having served as DPRO in several districts including Patiala, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, Mansa and Jalandhar. He was presently serving as DPRO Jalandhar before being promoted to the new role.
Thanking the Punjab Government and the Department of Information and Public Relations, Mr Thapar said he was honoured by the trust reposed in him and was committed to further intensify efforts to make the public aware of welfare initiatives at the grassroots level.
He reiterated his resolve to continue effective communication between the Government and citizens to strengthen public participation and awareness across the region.
