Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed him on his arrival here.

A red carpet was laid out for the Prime Minister of Mauritius, who was welcomed with Vedic mantras, Kalash Aarti, showering of flowers and the rhythmic sounds of drums and conch shells. The route from the airport to the Ram Temple was decorated to welcome the Prime Minister of Mauritius.
Chief Minister Adityanath said that Ramgoolam's visit is a symbol of cultural unity between India and Mauritius. It is noteworthy that earlier Ramgoolam had visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi.
