Apart from MLA Manjinder Singh Lalpura, who was a taxi driver at the time of the incident, the court has also convicted 5 policemen Davinder Kumar, Sarj Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Tarsem Singh and Harjinder Singh.
This entire case is from 2013. At that time, MLA Lalpura was a taxi driver. He was accused of assaulting a woman who had come for a wedding. The woman had also accused the taxi drivers of molesting her.
What did the victim say? While giving information about the entire matter, the victim had said that this matter is of March 3, 2013. During this time, she had gone to the wedding of her maternal aunt's son. At that time, Manjinder Singh Lalpura was a taxi driver.
During the wedding, Lalpura along with Harvinder Singh and Gurdeep Singh misbehaved with her. Casteist words were used against her and her family. The police personnel also beat up her family. All of them together also committed indecent acts with her.
