Punjab Pensioners Welfare Association contributes Rs 1 lakh to help flood victims.

Hoshiarpur:- Different sections of the society are continuously coming forward to help flood affected families. In this regard, Punjab Pensioners Welfare Association today presented an example of humanitarian cooperation by presenting a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. This cheque was handed over to Assistant Commissioner Oishi Mandal.

On this occasion, Association President Kulwaran Singh, Patron Kirpal Singh, Vice President Suraj Prakash Anand, General Secretary Manjit Singh Saini, Press Secretary Balbir Singh Saini, Shamsher Singh Dhami, Ajit Singh Goraya, Dalbir Singh Bhullar, Gian Singh Gupta, Malkit Singh, Saroop Chand, Sudesh Chander, Om Stiana, Mahendra Singh Heer, Gurcharan Singh, Pradyuman Singh, Dr. Sukhdev Singh Dhillon, Mahendra Kumar and Dinesh Pathania were also present.
Assistant Commissioner Oishi Mandal, while appreciating this noble work, said that Punjab Pensioners Welfare Association has fulfilled its responsibility towards the society in difficult times. He said that this contribution given to help the flood victims will play an important role in providing relief to the affected families.
He thanked the officers and members of the association and said that such cooperation will also inspire other organizations and citizens. He appealed to various organizations, social workers and common citizens of the district to come forward and help the flood affected families financially or in any other way.
