
Balkan Open Powerlifting Championship - 6-7 September 2025, Belgrade (Serbia).
Belgrade/Serbia:- Dronacharya Bhupinder Dhawan's disciple Gurdit Singh created history once again by becoming the best powerlifter in the Balkan Open Classic and Equipped (Bench Press/Squat/Deadlift) Championship. Earlier, in 2024, he had won the title of the best powerlifter in the English Open held in England.
Belgrade/Serbia:- Dronacharya Bhupinder Dhawan's disciple Gurdit Singh created history once again by becoming the best powerlifter in the Balkan Open Classic and Equipped (Bench Press/Squat/Deadlift) Championship. Earlier, in 2024, he had won the title of the best powerlifter in the English Open held in England.
Gurdit Singh won the title of the best powerlifter in the junior 110+ kg category. Along with this, Sumit Das won the gold medal in the senior 110 kg category and Jagdish Singh Jassa won the gold in the senior 100 kg category.
During this championship held in Belgrade (Serbia) on 6-7 September 2025, India's Gurdit Singh lifted a total of 667.5 kg (classic raw) to become the best powerlifter in the junior category.
Both Sumit Das and Jagdish Singh Jassa won gold medals in the full powerlifting raw category.
IPL India President Shri Om Prakash Angreesh congratulated the students of Indian team coach Dronacharya Bhupinder Dhawan and wished them all the best for their future.
