On Friday, November 15, the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is being celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm all over the world. For almost a week, morning processions are being organized by the Sangat in every city, town and village. While we remember his true and pure life, there is a need to take guidance from his teachings and Bani. In the era in which we are living today, to some extent, the sacred work of Guru Sahib “Babar Bani” seems to be extremely relevant and relevant to the current circumstances. In such an era, the teachings of the Guru are the true guidance for the entire human race.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s vision was of a society without caste. His concept was “Sabna Jiya Ka Ek Daata”, meaning the entire creation is the creation of one God. God has created everyone equally. There is only one universal creator, namely “Ek Onkar Satnaam”. This feeling of equality began with Guru Nanak Dev Ji's clear recognition that there is no difference between Hindus and Muslims. Forgiveness, patience, kindness and tolerance are the core of his teachings.

In the present time, the words of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji can be the right guidance for every human being. In today's time, anger, jealousy, dishonesty and "falsehood" are prevalent. Man himself has become the enemy of the life of another human being. The words composed by Guru Ji give the message of peace, tolerance and surrender. Inequality or inequality is the root of all evil. Guru Nanak Ji's basic message is "Work, chant the name and share". He suggested that we should earn honestly, by hard work and share this income with the needy. He followed the concept of "Daswandh" or donating one tenth of our income to the needy. Selfless service to humanity, known as "Seva", is the center of Sikhism's teachings.

Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's raising his voice against the evils prevalent in his time was a revolutionary step. He was the first social reformer to raise his voice for equality and respect for women. He refuted the religious rituals going on in the society of that time. The description of the beautiful aarti happening automatically in the universe is nowhere to be found.

Today, when we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Guru Ji, reading and listening to Gurbani, we desperately need to follow his teachings. Today, every human being, is going through a period of self-destruction. We need to take guidance from the Bani composed by him. If we implement even one line of the Bani composed by him, our life can change.
