Ferozepur, May 8 - BSF personnel posted on the international border in Mamdot sector of Ferozepur have achieved a major success and killed a Pakistani intruder in the early hours of today. According to the information received, this incident took place near the Lakha Singh Wala post of BSF.
At around 2:30 am, vigilant BSF personnel patrolling the border saw an intruder trying to enter the Indian border from the Pakistani territory near border pillar number 207/1. Taking immediate action in this regard, BSF personnel shot and killed him.
The police who reached the spot took the body of the intruder into their possession and kept it in the morgue of the Civil Hospital for postmortem. The police are taking further action in this regard.
It is worth mentioning that in view of the tense situation between India and Pakistan, security arrangements have been tightened on the border. BSF personnel are closely monitoring the border to prevent any untoward incident from happening.
