SAS Nagar, April 24 - CIA staff Mohali arrested three persons and recovered 50 grams of cocaine and 5 grams of ice from their Swift car.

Giving information in this regard, the police spokesperson said that these persons have been arrested by the team of Inspector Harminder Singh in-charge CIA staff Mohali (Camp and Kharar) during the campaign against bad elements by the district police.

He said that SI Baljinder Kaur of the CIA staff and the police party were checking suspicious men and vehicles during the blockade at Kharar Kurali Road (near village Padiala) in connection with the elections. He said that in the meantime, a Swift car No. PB8-EA-2494 (in which three young men were on board) coming from Kharar side towards Kurali was stopped and checked, 50 grams of cocaine and 5 grams of ice were found from the dashboard of the car. 

The spokesperson said that the police have arrested the youth in the car. They have been identified as Manik Babbar alias Manu, Sagar Babbar and Madhyashu (all residents of Jalandhar). In this regard, a case under Section 29-61-85 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Kurali police station.

He said that these persons are being interrogated as to from whom they had brought the cocaine and ice and to whom they were to supply.
