S.A.S. Nagar, May 31- Mohali Police has nabbed a person with 250 grams of opium. Giving information in this regard, DSP City 2, Mr. Harsimran Singh Bal said that this person has been caught under the campaign being run against anti-social elements and drug dealers under the leadership of SSP Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans.
He informed that during patrolling on Sector 99-100 road by SHO of Sohana police station and police party, when the police party reached near Sector-104 turn, a Sikh man suddenly panicked on seeing the police and hid in the bushes.
He informed that the police caught him on the basis of suspicion and asked his name and address, on which he told his name as Gurprem Singh, resident of Rampura Narainpura, Tehsil Abohar, District Fazilka. On searching this person, 250 grams of opium was recovered from the right pocket of his pant. He said that in this regard a case has been registered against Gurprem Singh under sections 18-61-85 of the NDPS Act.
