  Giving information about various activities to be conducted during this month, Naman Markan said that various activities will be conducted by the concerned department with the support of NGOs for the road safety month. These include cycle/two-wheeler rallies, installation of retro-reflective tapes on transport vehicles, face-to-face interaction with drivers, seat belt and helmet awareness campaigns and special campaigns against red light violation, overspeeding and drunken driving. . School Education, Higher Education and Technical Education Department will conduct road safety walkathons, poster making and quiz competitions, exhibitions and elocution competitions with the support of non-governmental organizations and road safety experts.
Apart from this, medical/eye check-up camps for drivers will be organized by Transport Department with the support of Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education and Research Department. And awareness will be given about overloading and fitness certificate for vehicles.
