Patiala, December 12 – A ruckus broke out at the famous Kali Mata temple on Mall Road here today when a person who was allegedly running towards the throne of the Mother was caught by security personnel and attendants and later handed over to the police. The person has been identified as Mandeep Singh, who is said to live near the local medical college. It is not clear at present whether he was a pilgrim or came with some other intention. As soon as the incident was reported, SSP Patiala Varun Sharma, SDM Ismat Vijay Singh and other police officers reached the spot and interacted with the temple priests and Hindu leaders present there. Varun Sharma assured them that a case will be registered against the arrested person and a thorough investigation will be done.
