SAS Nagar, December 4 - Bharatiya Kisan Union meeting at Kharar Akali office. Davinder Singh Deh Kalan, in which considering the problems of the farmers, the government was demanded to take action to solve them. State Press Secretary of the Union, Mehar Singh Thedi specially participated in the meeting.

On this occasion, S Thedi said that the government is not sending urea fertilizer to the committees, whereas due to rain, farmers need fertilizer for wheat. He said that there was shortage of fertilizer even during wheat sowing and now the situation has become the same again.

During the meeting, it was said that despite repeated meetings, the demands of the farmers are not being paid attention to by the Chief Minister, due to which the farmers are quite disappointed. Speakers said that till now no mill has been started in Punjab and as per the promise made to the United Kisan Morcha, the rate of sugarcane that was to be given was not given, rather they made fun of the farmers by increasing the rate by Rs 11. Which will not be tolerated.

In the meeting, protest was expressed on the fact that during the recent floods, huge pits were created in the fields of farmers on the banks of river Ghaggar and there was a lot of damage to the buried pipelines, for which no compensation has been received till now. This compensation should be given immediately.

It was said in the meeting that if the government does not stop the installation of chip meters in the villages by the Electricity Board as per its promise, then the farmers will uproot these meters and throw them in the offices, the responsibility of which will be the Punjab State Electricity Board.
