SAS Nagar, October 9 - The Jyoti Jot Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was celebrated with great devotion at the historic Gurudwara Singh Shaheedan of nearby village Sohana. In this regard, a religious function was organized throughout the day after the Bhog of Sri Sahaj Path Sahib Ji in the morning.
In this religious event, Bhai Parveen Singh Preet's International Dhadi Jatha gave a detailed account of the life of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and his lighting of the Jyoti Jot in the year 1539 AD. Shiromani Pracharak Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Damdami Taksal Wali briefed the Sangat about the four Udasas done by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj Ji for the welfare of the entire humanity. Shiromani Pracharak Bhai Jarnail Singh from Ludhiana informed the Sangat in detail about the chanting of Dhur Ki Bani by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj through his lectures.
Apart from this, Bhai Kulwinder Singh, Bhai Harmanjit Singh, Baba Deep Singh Kavishri Jatha, Bhai Bahadur Singh, Mitra Pyare Ko Kirtani Jatha, Bibi Harjinder Kaur, Bhai Gurwinder Singh, Harjas Kirtani Jatha, Bhagrane Walan Da Kavishri Jatha, Sukhmani Sewa Society ladies Apart from the Jathas of Gurdwara Singh Shaheeds, Bhai Gurmeet Singh, Bhai Inderjit Singh, Bhai Jaswant Singh, Bhai Jaswinder Singh and Bhai Sukhwinder Singh entertained the Sangats all day through Katha, Kirtan, Kavishari and Gurmat thoughts. Guru's langar was served in abundance.
