CCTV cameras to be installed at banks and petrol pumps - District Magistrate

Nawanshahr- District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh has issued an order under the Indian Civil Code to install CCTV cameras at all banks and petrol pumps in the district. District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh has issued orders to the managers of all banks and owners of petrol pumps in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district to install CCTV cameras.

Nawanshahr- District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh has issued an order under the Indian Civil Code to install CCTV cameras at all banks and petrol pumps in the district. District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh has issued orders to the managers of all banks and owners of petrol pumps in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district to install CCTV cameras.
He said that these cameras should have a recording capacity of at least 07 days. He said that these orders have been issued with a view to curbing incidents of loot and protecting the lives and property of the people. Similarly, in a separate order, the District Magistrate has banned carrying weapons in public places.
According to the orders issued, there is a complete ban on carrying and displaying weapons/arms in any kind of marriage palace/resort, fair, religious places, procession, baraat, wedding parties or other events/public gatherings and educational institutions in the district.
This ban will be applicable to public places as well as social media. Apart from this, there will also be a complete ban on songs glorifying weapons or violence. These orders will remain in force till 30-11-2025.
