Mega plantation drive held in Faridabad Namo Van.

Chandigarh, October 2 - Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that development and environment are two sides of the same coin. Without one, the other is incomplete. This mega plantation drive organized in Faridabad today is another decisive step in the direction of the same balanced development.

The Chief Minister also extended his greetings to the people present on the occasion of Dussehra. During this, he paid homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary by offering floral tributes in front of their photographs.
Along with the Chief Minister, Revenue and Urban Local Government Minister Shri Vipul Goyal, Minister of State for Food and Supplies Shri Rajesh Nagar and other dignitaries also gave the message of environmental protection while planting saplings in the Green Belt premises of Sector-9 Haryana Urban Development Authority.
It is noteworthy that the government is taking effective steps towards environmental protection by selecting locations to create 75 Namo forests in the state of Haryana and planting trees in them.
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that along with planting trees in the Green Biodiversity Corridor, Birds of Green Corridor is also being developed in this area. The participation of everyone in the plantation drive is proof that every citizen of Haryana understands his responsibility towards the environment. This mega plantation drive will create a healthy and clean environment for our future generations. The direct meaning of plantation is to respect nature and expand greenery.
The Chief Minister said that this drive reminds us that trees are not just a source of wood, but are the basis of life. Without trees, neither clean air is possible, nor sufficient rainfall nor continuity of life on earth, therefore this campaign is a symbol of our gratitude towards nature, our responsibility and our resolve to ensure a prosperous future for the coming generations.

Economic hub of Faridabad State
The Chief Minister said that Faridabad is the economic hub of the state. The entrepreneurs, traders and hardworking workers here have taken this city to new heights of development with their tireless efforts, but in this rapid race of development, we have learned a lot from nature, in such a situation, now the time has come for us to return to nature with gratitude. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that global warming and climate change are a threat to the existence of life on this earth. Therefore, forest development and tree planting are the need of the hour today.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had started a unique campaign named 'Ek Peer Ma' while planting saplings in Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi on the occasion of World Plantation Day on June 5, 2024. Under this campaign, in the first phase of 'Ek Peer Ma', a target was set to plant 1 crore 60 lakh saplings in Haryana, but we have fulfilled our responsibility towards the environment by exceeding the target and planting 1 crore 87 lakh saplings. He said that this year on June 5, the second phase of 'Ek Peer Ma' has been started on the occasion of World Plantation Day. Under this second phase and other schemes, the target is to plant 1 crore 60 lakh saplings in the state. He said that so far, the Forest Department has planted 1 crore 45 lakh saplings in the state and other departments have also planted 50 lakh saplings. He said that the government's goal is to make every corner of Haryana green.

Harit Aravalli Action Plan implemented in South Haryana
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that the Harit Aravalli Action Plan has been implemented in South Haryana. This project, prepared by the Central and State Governments, is being implemented in four states of the Aravalli hills, including Haryana. 29 have been selected in these four states, out of which five districts are from Haryana.
He said that a total of 56 herbal parks, 4 city forests and 18 oxygen forests have been established in the state for the conservation of medicinal plants. The Chief Minister encouraged people, women and children to take up plantation in Namo Forest and encouraged them to become plantation guards and not only plant plants but also take care of them.

Namo One Program Dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's One Tree in the Name of Mother Campaign
Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management and Urban Local Government Mr. Vipul Goyal said that Namo One Program is dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's One Tree in the Name of Mother Campaign. He said that the Green Belt on which this Namo One is being built.
Earlier there was a lot of garbage here, which will be cleaned with the help of the administration and developed as Namo One. He said that under the Namo One campaign, more than 3.50 lakh plants will be planted. In the coming time, more than 20 lakh plants will be planted in the green belt up to the entire extent of Faridabad district and an oxygen chamber will be built for the residents of the district.
In the program, Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Mr. Rajesh Nagar said that the Namo One program has been organized in Faridabad to offer alms in the One Tree in the Name of Mother Campaign started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The entire Faridabad will be made green by planting lakhs of saplings. On this occasion, MLA from Vallabhgarh and former minister Mr. Mulchand Sharma, Mayor Mr. Praveen Batra Joshi, BJP District President Mr. Pankaj Rampal, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Rajiv Chetli, along with officials and other dignitaries were also present.
