Mahila Congress State Secretary and Social Media State Coordinator Mamta Dogra and Block President Harjinder Singh Prince, taking the problems of Shahpur Colony residents seriously based on the survey and documents, met with Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari and demanded that they be provided with housing.
MP Manish Tewari assured that those entitled to housing would be ensured by speaking with the administration. He stated that the Congress Party always stands with the poor.
Mamta Dogra said the delegation had already met with DC Nitin Yadav and written a request to the Governor, but now the administration's demolition of their homes during the festival season is highly condemnable. The Shahpur Colony residents had already deposited money with the Housing Board to purchase a house, had a biometric survey conducted, and submitted the necessary documents.
She said the Congress government is fully committed to protecting the interests of the poor and needy, and assured them that no negligence will be shown in providing houses to those slum dwellers who have the necessary documents and whose names are included in the survey.
