Srinagar, April 25 - Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has reached Kashmir to take stock of the injured in the Pahalgam terror attack. The party leader said that Rahul Gandhi may also visit the Army Base Hospital in Badamibagh Cantonment, where he will inquire about the health of the injured in the attack.
Let us tell you that 26 people lost their lives in the attack on April 22, most of whom were tourists. Seven people were injured during this. The party leader said that Rahul Gandhi will also meet a delegation of various people including the party and the trade and tourism sectors. Gandhi is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during his visit.
Gandhi has arrived with a message of healing the wounds of the people of the country, including Kashmiris, after the attack. The Congress leader had cut short his US trip to attend a crucial meeting of the Congress Working Committee called on Thursday after the attack. Gandhi had also attended an all-party meeting called by the government the previous day.
