Chandigarh , August 4 - Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the Haryana Government is going to start a pilot project for online paperless deed registration system in Narayangarh Tehsil from August 11.
Giving information about this pilot project, Financial Commissioner of Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Dr. Sumita Mishra said that this project has been designed to make the land registration process simple and efficient for the general public . Under this citizen-friendly system , property buyers and sellers will be able to take online appointments as per their convenience.
Dr. Mishra said that the aim of this initiative is to reduce the contact or direct presence of the public . Earlier , the verification of papers was done on the day of appointment itself , which led to 30% failures in deed registration due to objections or lack of documents .
Now , with this template-based application module , the applications will be sent to the concerned Tehsil office for verification and after getting approval on the same portal, the applicant can complete the payment process and book the appointment slot .
The applicant has to be present only for photograph and signature/biometrics on the day of appointment , where their approved application is already online .
Dr. Mishra said that this structured system is expected to reduce review time , eliminate queues and reduce procedural inefficiencies , thereby providing a more professional and seamless experience to the public . A key feature of the new model is increased transparency in transactions .
All revenue records will be updated in real time , any existing disputes, debt burden or outstanding loans on a property will be automatically selected during the registration process , enabling both the buyer and the seller to take informed decisions .
Dr. Mishra stressed that this reform will prevent revenue leakage , increase government revenue and promote greater trust and accountability in land transactions . Applicants will also be provided with a clear checklist of required documents , which will ensure accuracy and reduce rejections due to incomplete submissions .
Dr. Mishra further said that under its comprehensive digital transformation agenda , the department is planning to expand this system to include online demarcation services , automatic naming etc. The pilot project in Narayangarh is being considered as a significant step towards state-wide implementation .
Dr. Mishra said that this initiative will transform land registration across Haryana into a digitally driven , efficient and transparent process , which reaffirms the state government’s commitment towards accountable governance and people-centric reforms .
