
Poetry and speech competitions dedicated to the 350th martyrdom centenary were organized at Khalsa College.
Garhshankar- At Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar, which is run under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, a poetry recitation and speech competition was organized by the College Gurdwara Committee and the Punjabi Department to commemorate the 350th martyrdom centenary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji. The stage was conducted by student Anju Bala in the competitions.

In the poetry recitation competition, student Ranjana BA Part III won first place, Jasmine BA Part I won second place and Jaspinder Kaur BA B.Ed Part IV won third place. In the speech competition, Lovepreet Singh BA Part I won first place, Harpreet Kaur B.C.A Part III won second place and Rajwinder Kaur BA B.Ed Part III won third place. The outstanding students were awarded prizes by Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira and former Prof. Apinder Singh. Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira congratulated the winning students and motivated them to participate in such competitions in future. Former Prof. Apinder Singh shared his thoughts with the students regarding the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. On this occasion, Dr. Harvinder Kaur, religious teacher Amritpal Singh, Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur, Prof. Saurav Dadri were present.
