Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, February 15: In order to maintain law and order, Smt. Ashika Jain, District Magistrate Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, exercising powers vested under Section 163, Chapter 11 of the Indian Civil Security Code-2023, has issued orders prohibiting climbing on and holding dharna/rally around all water tanks, tube wells, telephone towers, government/private buildings, blocking roads etc. falling within the limits of District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar.
These orders will be in force from February 11, 2025 to April 10, 2025. It is noteworthy that Senior Superintendent of Police Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar brought to the notice of District Magistrate SAS Nagar that various employees unions, unemployed etc. unions/federations are protesting for their demands by climbing various water tanks, telephone towers and other government/private buildings of the district and blocking roads etc.
The concerned protesters also put their lives in danger and law and order situation may also be disrupted. These orders have been issued to prevent such actions.
