Garhshankar (Paigam-e-Jagat) On the call given by the country's leading left parties to hold protests across the country on June 17 against the genocide of innocent Palestinians being committed by the Zionist Netanyahu government of Israel in the Gaza Strip and to burn effigies of Netanyahu and his boss, US President Trump, Garhshankar's left parties, public and employee organizations jointly held a rally at Dr. Bhag Singh Memorial Hall and then held a protest march in the city and burned effigies of Trump and Netanyahu at Banga Chowk. Addressing the gathering, various speakers Gurnek Bhajjal, Darshan Singh Mattu, Harmesh Dhesi, Kulbhushan Mahindwani, Ma. Ajit Singh, Sham Sundar, Hans Raj Garshankar, Bibi Subhash Mattu, Davinder Rana, Mahinder Badhoan said that the Israeli government is committing a heinous genocide against the Palestinian children and people in Gaza.
For almost the last two years, Israel's brutal bombing and military attack has killed more than 55,000 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children. Essential infrastructure, hospitals, schools and refugee shelters have been deliberately targeted, pushing the people of Gaza into an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe. All these atrocities are nothing short of genocide. The most inhumane thing is that Israel is also using military force to block humanitarian aid to Gaza.
At the same time, the Israeli government has launched a major attack on Iran with bombs, missiles and drones at the behest of the US. These attacks are a clear violation of Iran's sovereignty.
Although India has had multifaceted relations with Iran for centuries and it is an ally and friend of India, the Modi government is not ready to take a stand against this blatant unilateral attack by Israel for fear of incurring the displeasure of Trump and Netanyahu.
Therefore, all people who love justice and democracy should strongly oppose this aggression. At this time, various leaders Mukesh Kumar, Satpal Kaler Jaswinder Singh, Balvir Singh Khanpuri, Paramjit Singh, Mandeep Singh Amarjit Singh, Rajinder Singh, Shingara Ram Bhajjal, Giani Avtar Singh, Babu Gopal Das, Joginder Singh Dadial, Ashok Kumar Mahindwani, Balwant Ram, Harbhajan Singh Atwal, Gopal Singh Thandi, Baldev Satnaur, Mohan Lal Binewal, Jujhar Singh Mattu, Amarjit Singh Kulewal, Prem Singh Rana, Prem Singh Premi, Sukhwinder Singh, Kashmir Singh Bhajjal, Kamal Baganian, Harbhajan Singh Mehtab Pur, Neelam Badoan, Rashpal Kaur, Sunita Sabak Sarpanch, Balwinder Kaur Mattu, Balvir Singh Mattu, Balraj Pandit, Avtar Singh Denowal Kalan etc. were present.
