Hoshiarpur- Various programs were organized in Government College Hoshiarpur under the chairmanship of the Deputy Principal of the college, Vijay Kumar, to spread awareness about the environment on the occasion of "World Environment Day" being celebrated from 22-05-2025 to 05-06-2025 so that we can succeed in the purpose of celebrating this day.
Prof. Vijay Kumar, while presenting his views on this day, said that if we cannot protect the environment on this earth, then the destruction of the earth is certain. We have to save it in three forms like water, air and soil and keep it clean so that life can be saved on earth. We have to take special care of every kind of cleanliness, only then we will be able to remain healthy and fit.
On this occasion, based on this year's theme 'Eliminating Plastic Pollution', the students of Red Ribbon Club and NSS informed people about its side effects and inspired them not to use it. Students Sahil, Arsh and Khushboo collected it so that it does not have any bad consequences.
On the theme "One tree for mother", staff members and students planted trees around their houses. Students made posters and spread awareness about the environment. Prof. Vijay Kumar administered the oath to take care of the environment honestly.
Cleaning was also done around the houses. During this fortnight, staff members and students continuously performed their duties with honesty.
