Nawanshahr - Under the guidelines of National Legal Services Authority and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, Hon'ble District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Miss Priya Sood, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SBS Nagar, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SBS Nagar Dr Amandeep and judicial officers celebrated World Environment Day by planting 120 saplings of different types in the New Court Complex of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar on the occasion of World Environment Day. Nagar Dr. Amandeep, Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar S Baljinder Singh Mann, Additional District & Sessions Judge-2 Aparajita Joshi, Additional District & Sessions Judge-3 Gagandeep Kaur, CJM Mr. Mahesh Kumar, Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ms. Komal Dhanjal, Civil Judge (Junior Division) Simran Chalana, Civil Judge (Junior Division) Tarandeep Kaur, Civil Judge (Junior Division) Anchal Dhir and Bar Association President SS Kundra were present.
Apart from this, saplings were also planted by SDJM Balachaur Ms. Lovejinder Kaur and Bar Association President Balachaur HS Saini. On this occasion, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Ms. Priya Sood said that World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June. This World Environment Day is celebrated to create awareness about the deteriorating environment and to encourage people to take positive actions and help build a better future.
Apart from this, he said that during the upcoming monsoon season, everyone should plant as many trees as possible around them. Apart from this, he said that all of us should take care of the environment for the welfare of humanity and social security by being good citizens and should also inspire others to take care of the environment.
