S.A.S.Nagar, May 28, 2025- Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal reviewed the arrangements for the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches to be held on 29th and 30th May at Maharaja Raja Yadavindra Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh during a high-level meeting and directed the officers to be fully alert during these matches.
S.A.S.Nagar, May 28, 2025- Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal reviewed the arrangements for the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches to be held on 29th and 30th May at Maharaja Raja Yadavindra Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh during a high-level meeting and directed the officers to be fully alert during these matches.
During the meeting, detailed information about the security arrangements was given by the officials of the Police Department.
While chairing an important meeting regarding the matches to be played on 29th and 30th May at Maharaja Raja Yadavindra Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, S.A.S.Nagar, Mrs. Komal Mittal directed the officers to ensure that there is no lapse in the arrangements for the cricket match.
She directed the police officers to make security and traffic arrangements with full promptness. She also directed to maintain law and order during the matches and to deal strictly with any kind of disturbance.
She also directed to make the traffic completely smooth and said that there should be no problem of parking during the matches and people should be guided about parking. She also asked to provide full facilities to the people while coming and going. She said that maintaining peace on this occasion should be the main priority.
Smt. Komal Mittal also directed the officers related to the fire brigade to make necessary arrangements on the spot. She also asked the health department officials to check the food at the match venue, deploy medical teams so that in case of any untoward incident, medical assistance can be provided on the spot.
During this meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Geetika Singh, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Ankita Kansal, SDM Kharar Divya P, besides senior officers of civil and police administration and other departments were present.
