Mohali Police arrests one of the two shooters who opened fire at Pinky Dhaliwal's house

SAS Nagar, May 27- Mohali Police has arrested one of the two shooters who opened fire at the house of music producer Pinky Dhaliwal in Sector 71. During a press conference today, SP (Investigation) Mr. Saurav Jindal informed that Mohali Police has succeeded in arresting one of the two shooters who opened fire at the kothi (1119, Sector-71) of Lawrence Bishnoi and Pushpinder Singh alias Pinky Dhaliwal of Kala Rana group.

SAS Nagar, May 27- Mohali Police has arrested one of the two shooters who opened fire at the house of music producer Pinky Dhaliwal in Sector 71. During a press conference today, SP (Investigation) Mr. Saurav Jindal informed that Mohali Police has succeeded in arresting one of the two shooters who opened fire at the kothi (1119, Sector-71) of Lawrence Bishnoi and Pushpinder Singh alias Pinky Dhaliwal of Kala Rana group.
He informed that on May 15, a case was registered at Mataur police station against unknown persons under sections 125, 109, 308(4), 351(4), 61(2) of BNS and sections 25-54-59 of Arms Act based on the statements of Pinky Dhaliwal's son Gurkaran Singh Dhaliwal. According to the complainant, he is a producer in the Punjabi music industry and was present at home with his family on the day of the incident when at around 10 pm his caretaker Ajay Singh informed him that two unknown masked persons came outside his house on foot and went a little ahead after asking the house number. Returning after a few steps, they pasted a note on the gate of the house and fired at the house and fled.
The complainant said that after some time they again came outside his house on a motorcycle and fled from the spot after firing again. When he came out of the house and saw the note pasted by the shooters on the gate, it had 'Kala Rana Lawrence Bishnoi Group' written on it in English. According to the complainant, his father Pushpinder Singh alias Pinky Dhaliwal has been receiving ransom threats from various gangsters in the past as well.
He said that a police team was formed to investigate the said incident. In this regard, Inspector Harminder Singh, in-charge of CIA staff and his team, through technical methods and human sources, have arrested one of the two shooters who carried out the said incident, from village Ucha Chandana, district Yamuna Nagar, Haryana.
He informed that the name of the arrested person is Ankit Rana and he is a resident of village Ucha Chandana, police station Chhappar, district Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. He is about 21 years old, he has passed 12th class and is unmarried. A case of snatching has already been registered against him in police station Chhappar, district Yamuna Nagar, Haryana.
He disclosed that during interrogation of Ankit Rana, it was found that he, along with his other partner, had entered inside the Flying Colours International Center (where IELTS, PTE, Spoken English and Orin courses are conducted for children) in Bilaspur, district Yamuna Nagar on May 15 in the afternoon and opened fire and after firing, fled from the spot.
In this regard, a case was registered on May 15 at Bilaspur police station, district Yamuna Nagar under sections 109(1), 3(5) of the BNS and sections 25-54-59 of the Arms Act. He said that the man is under police remand and soon his accomplices and other members of the gang will be arrested.
