Garshankar, May 20: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker and Garshankar constituency MLA S. Jai Krishan Singh Rori today handed over a solar system to village Chakk Fullu, further accelerating the campaign for sustainable development through innovative technologies.

This project is not only a big step towards environment-friendly energy production, but has also been prepared keeping in mind the basic needs of the villagers.
Sarpanch Kamaljit Kaur, Panch Harpreet Kaur, Panch Devi Kaur, Panch Mahendra Pal, Panch Sukhwinder, Panch Rita Rani and Lambardar Pradeep Loi of village Chakk Fullu were present at this ceremony.
Deputy Speaker Rori said that “The Punjab government is constantly striving towards the progress, modernity and environmental protection of villages. Instead of depending on wood or diesel, it is very important for the future to move towards new energy sources like solar energy.”
The villagers also appreciated this step of the Deputy Speaker and thanked him. They said that such efforts play an important role in connecting villages with the modern era.
The Deputy Speaker said that this initiative is an indication of continuous change and is a big step of the government towards improving the living standards of the people.
