Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar- Exercising the powers vested in it under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Act, 2023, District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh has banned ordinary citizens from driving two-wheelers with face covering/face covering within the district limits. 
This ban will not apply to those persons who have worn a mask or any other thing under medical supervision due to any disease or allergy.
The District Magistrate has stated in his order that in the markets, incidents of looting and theft are usually committed by vehicle drivers (especially two-wheeler drivers) with their faces covered, and it is difficult to identify the perpetrators of the crime due to face covering. 
Therefore, the above orders have been issued to prevent criminal incidents by covering the face in the district. These orders will remain in force till July 14, 2025.
